A Pigmented and corrected grain hide that is dyed through and then applied with a darker florenteak top coat. After the furniture has been upholstered we undertake a hand antiquing process which removes areas of the top coat to produce a subtle aged look.

The leather then receives a polishing coat to produce a sealed surface lustre. It can be expected that everyday usage abrasion will accentuate the antique colour change and is an inherent feature of this kind of leather finish. This type of leather has been our best seller on traditional styles for the past thirty years and can be relied upon to stand up to all the rigours of a busy home or commercial environment.

Essential leather is an attractive corrected grain leather with a plain pigmented finish, offering ideal light fastness, stain protection and a soft feel.

This leather is thick, soft and strokeable, with a distinctive finish. Waxy yet semi-matt, it’s been buffed and buffed and buffed to create lots of beautiful, subtle variations in colour and shade with a gorgeously natural surface full of characterful imperfections.

This strokeably soft linen has a brushed finish, so it feels like the slightly furry skin of a fresh peach. But it’s a really practical choice too. Its hardwearing, fibres take busy everyday life in their stride. Choose from all sorts of colours ranging from subtly understated shades to vibrant statement colours.

This is a sumptuous velvet, but it works a little harder than traditional ones do. Unlike standard cotton velvets it marks less. It’s also woven with smart fibres to help make it surprisingly stain-resistant. So it’s a great choice if you love the luxury of velvet but need your sofa to be able to handle the rigours of home life.

What’s “clever” about it? Well, it’s made with a 70% wool blend including smart manmade fibres. So it gives you the wonderful look, feel and breathability of wool, but is much more hardwearing. It’s soft to the touch, remarkably tough and is more affordable than 100% wool fabrics too.

This is 100% pure wool, closely woven in the North of England into a traditional herringbone pattern. The result is a hard-wearing fabric which looks seriously expensive, but actually delivers very affordable value. This Wool Herringbone collection has been selected to co-ordinate with our Wool Plaids – and although it appears a solid colour from a distance, a ‘heather’ effect produces subtle colour variations when seen close-up.
