We also understand that when you place an international order, you want to have complete confidence in your delivery. To help put your mind at ease, we’ve created shipping guide to answer many of the questions you may have about our delivery service.

Where do Timeless Chesterfields deliver to?

Our international delivery service can bring your sofa to almost any part of the world. No matter if you live in a penthouse in New York, an apartment in Tokyo, or a farmhouse in the French countryside, you can rely on us to get your Chesterfield to you swiftly and safely.

We take great pride in offering a convenient service for our customers, and you can contact our specialist export team to get a free, no obligation delivery quote for your location. We also provide delivery to the UK through our own dedicated transport team.

Can I be confident about your worldwide delivery service?

For over 35 years, we’ve been sharing our handmade sofas with people around the world and, during this time, we’ve been able to build up plenty of experience delivering our sofas internationally. Our export team has handled global orders for a long time, and they’ve learned the ins and outs of each country’s regulations. We’ve also been able to establish a network of partnerships with several first-class shipping companies who can deliver your Chesterfield on time and in pristine condition.

Can I see your Chesterfield sofas before I buy?

If you get the chance to visit us, we would love to show you where we hand-build each of our sofas. Our showroom is located less than 20 miles (30km) from Manchester Airport and, because we are open seven days a week, you can arrange your visit around your busy schedule. If you need any help planning your trip, let us know and we’d be happy to make recommendations for hotels and activities in the nearby area.

Should you not get the chance to visit, you can always get an insight into the care and skill that goes into each Chesterfield by viewing our workshop video. Our website also offers the chance to view each individual piece of furniture in our range online or, alternatively, you can request a brochure, as well as leather and fabric samples.

Will my Chesterfield sofa really be made to order?

Yes. We’re proud of our ability to make tailored Chesterfields exactly to our customers’ needs, so do let us know if you have any requirements for your furniture. We‘re capable of creating bespoke furniture to your own sizes and specifications, and can even meet your schedule. A sofa normally takes approximately 6–8 weeks to hand-build, but we will always try to accommodate any deadlines that you have in mind.

Additionally, we have pieces of in-stock Chesterfield furniture in a variety of styles, which have already been assembled and are ready to be delivered.

Will my new Chesterfield sofa fit into my home?

What do I need to do when my Chesterfield sofa is delivered?

Most of our deliveries will be brought straight to your front door, so you may well need to organise for an extra pair of hands to help you position it in your home. If required, we can provide you with a quote for a two-man delivery team to help you transfer it into your property — just let us know.

How will my Chesterfield sofa be packaged and protected?

You don’t need to worry about your Chesterfield when it is in transit, as we’ve mastered the art of packaging for a perfect delivery. We will wrap your sofa in several layers of bubble wrap for cushioning, before carefully placing it in an extra-strong export box. If your furniture is being exported outside of the EU, we will also pack it into a heavy-duty crate for good measure.

How will I know where my Chesterfield sofa is?

We will email you to let you know when your furniture has left our workshop to begin its journey to you. The shipping agent will then inform you when it has reached your country and when they plan to deliver it. We will also send you their contact details just in case you want to get any updates on your Chesterfield’s progress.

When will my Chesterfield sofa arrive?

Once we’ve finished handcrafting your sofa, it will take a few days to arrive at its brand-new home. The list below outlines the estimated delivery times for a number of our most popular destinations but, if you are located elsewhere, let us know and we would be happy to advise you.

Middle East and Far East — 7 working days by air, 25–30 working days by sea.

What happens when my Chesterfield sofa reaches my country?

When your Chesterfield sofa safely reaches your country, our shipping partner in the region will get in touch to arrange a convenient time to deliver it to your home. This flexible approach should give you ample time to organise things before your furniture arrives.

Unfortunately, we don’t sell our furniture anywhere else, so you can only buy our pieces directly through us. How do I get my international delivery quote?

You can get in touch with our team anytime you like to discuss your delivery options and we will be happy to provide you with a quote. Even if you haven’t yet decided on your Chesterfield sofa, you can speak to our export team and they will be able to advise you further. Just let them know where you are based and they will be able to give you an estimate on delivery.

What will be included in my international delivery quote?

Your quote will contain a few items of information: details of your order, shipping price, packaging price, and insurance price (we don’t mark these prices up — you pay exactly what we do).

Will the language barrier be a problem?

We are well experienced in dealing with international orders, so we speak with people from all over the world every day. There are members of our export team who speak French, Spanish, and Dutch, and we are able to manage with other languages as well. If English isn’t your native language, don’t worry about emailing us — you can even email us in your own language and we will be happy to translate it.

How and when do I pay for the delivery of my Chesterfield sofa?

Once you have decided which furniture you would like and are happy with your delivery quote, please let us know. We will then send you an email within 24 hours to confirm your order. Upon placing your order, you will need to pay a deposit that is 10% of the total amount — the easiest way to do this is by bank transfer. The rest of your balance must be paid into our bank account at least 10 days before your Chesterfield sofa is due to be dispatched.

Can I arrange my own delivery option?

Should you wish to arrange your own delivery, we would be happy to accommodate this. You can organise for your Chesterfield to be picked up at the port or, alternatively, from our workshop in the UK. We will supply all of the necessary documents too.
